Horizons

You can't pin down a winter breeze
his shoulders are too wide
we reach to the horizon
where the landscape is his bride

they seem to move in unison
the sun sets, then they hide
beneath the vale of darkness
as the moon brings in the tide

by morning the vale is lifted
we wake from tuffled dreams
the warmth of day arouses us
white light is cast in beams

we reach once more to earths great edge
new horizons have arrived
this is the day our master made
and in it we will thrive.
